POSITION SUMMARY:

The Material Handler II will work as part of the warehouse team under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor. This role will maintain production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies, and staging finished products. The Material Handler II should have a working knowledge of all major stockroom functions.

PRINCIPAL

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Shipping: Locates and packs materials for shipping. * Receiving: Verifying the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries. * Cycle Counting: Helps with cycle counting with direction from Material Lead or Material Supervisor. * Material Storage & Movement: Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory. * Kitting for Production; Works in a team based, cross-functional environment to complete kitting and delivery task as assigned by Lead or Supervisor. * Domestic and International Shipping; Assists Lead or Supervisor in daily shipping of product to internal and external customers using UPS, FedEx, or DHL shipping software. * Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Experience:

Minimum of six (6) months' work experience in Intricon stockroom or equivalent. Successful training in the seven major functional areas. Skills:

Trained in stockroom, shipping, receiving. Ability to record transactions accurately and keep accurate records. Ability to communicate orally and verbally and work well with several people and departments at one time. Experience with operating a forklift, pallet jack, and reach truck equipment is advantageous. Ability to easily adapt to changes in priorities. Safely operate a forklift after training. Ability to operate computers and relevant warehouse management computer software. Obtain and maintain forklift training certification.

Physical Requirements:

While performing duties of this Job, employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit and talk or hear. Employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to (50) pounds. Employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and or operations of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.
