Senior Maintenance Technician
Shift Schedule : 6a-6:30p Rotational Schedule Job Duties : 6a-4p Mon-Fri Schedule. Must be willing to work some weekends, fill in and cover shifts, be on call sometimes.
The Maintenance Lead works with team members to meet set objectives for their assigned production lines in the areas of safety, quality, reliability, scrap, and lean. The technician is responsible for performing, monitoring and evaluating preventative maintenance plans for assigned lines and continually working towards improving equipment and processes. ? Repair and maintain mechanical equipment such as blow molders, fillers, cappers, labelers, conveyor systems, palletizers, and other production/ support equipment. ? Continuous improvement in speed and accuracy of product changeovers and preventative maintenance plans. ? Resource for training team members. ? Resource for electrical process problems. ? Installation and troubleshooting of production equipment. ? Operate and monitor assigned machines and auxiliary equipment. ? Perform preventative maintenance on machines and auxiliary equipment as assigned. ? Maintain various daily production reports in SAP as required. ? Conduct continuous process improvements in relation to safety, reliability, quality, productivity and cost. ? Follow all safety requirements, policies and reports any unsafe conditions to a leader assisting in any repairs or corrective actions. ? Work in a safe and efficient manner at all times, monitor team members for safe practices and mentors best methods. ? Responsible for the completion of all required training and technical criteria within a defined time period. ? Responsible for reporting food safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action. ? Attend all team meetings as required. ? Participate in the development and implementation of line improvements. ? Ability to adhere to the attendance and punctuality policy. ? Participate in on call practices. ? Other Duties as assigned. Requires an Associate?s or Vocational degree in a technical discipline or a minimum of five years experience in industrial equipment repair. Experience and competency in the following areas required: 1. Mechanical: Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Pumps, Bearings, Chains and Belting, Conveying Systems, Valves, Basic Blueprint Reading and Mechanical Troubleshooting 2. Electrical: Knowledge and Experience of Variable Frequency Drives, Advanced and Basic Electricity, Volt Meter and Amp Probe, AC/DC Motors and Control Systems, Basic Schematic Reading, Basic PLC Knowledge, Hardware installation, and Electrical Troubleshooting 3. Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capability 4. Ability to work independently with self-motivation 5. Effective utilization of both external and internal technical resources 6. Capability to become the mentor to more inexperienced team members, encouraging skill development Experience in the following is strongly preferred: 1. Project coordination at the site level, including the coordination of schedules and resources 2. Machine Shop Skills: Various Welding techniques, Fabrication, Basic plumbing, heating and cooling, and Basic carpentry and masonry 3. Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and / or Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA) training / experience 4. SAP knowledge 5. Extensive preventative maintenance experience
