The CNC 5-Axis Mill Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling equipment to produce precision aerospace components. Responsibilities include blueprint interpretation, executing tool changes, performing precision measurements, and ensuring parts are manufactured to exact specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and monitor CNC 5-axis mills to machine aerospace components Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions Perform tool changes, machine offsets, and dimensional inspections Use precision measurement instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.) Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections Troubleshoot machining issues and perform preventive maintenance Collaborate with engineering, programming, and quality teams for process optimization Assist with fixture design and machining improvements Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Work effectively in a fast-paced, fluid environment Qualifications & Education

Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required. High school diploma or equivalent; technical machining training preferred 5+ years' experience with CNC milling, including 5-axis machines Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) Experience working with tight tolerances and precision measuring equipment Proficient in machining aerospace-grade materials (aluminum, high-nickel alloys, castings, forgings, etc.) Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and adaptability Ability to work independently and collaboratively Positive attitude and effective communication skills Physical Requirements
