Job Description Nurse - Perinatal Specialty - Night Shift
Schedule
This position requires a night shift schedule from 7 PM to 7 AM.
Job Description
The competent Nurse, in the same or similar clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care and continues to develop the ability to manage the contingencies of clinical nursing. Responsibilities include making appropriate assignments and delegating tasks to other care providers.
Responsibilities
Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice. Administers medications and treatments following appropriate protocols; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed. Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given. Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identifies issues and resources. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred. 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred. Current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications required. Current certification required from one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate FHM, AWHONN Intermediate FHM Instructor, AWHONN Advanced FHM Instructor, AWHONN Instructor Trainer, or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM). RN License in state of employment or compact. Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
