BOOKKEEPER- Part-time, Approx. 6-month Contract $27.00-$30.00 / hourly pay rate

Responsibilities Manage accounts payable and receivable. Process invoices, prepare checks, and track expenses and revenue. Document payroll expense in the ledger. Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy. Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheet and income statement for Finance Committee and Board review. Ensure financial records are organized, up-to-date, and compliant with regulations. Support staff in grant reporting, providing documentation of grant-related expenses as needed. Assist with preparation of annual filings such as 1099s Support the Executive Director in developing the organization's annual budget. Oversee risk management through internal controls.

Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

5+ years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role; nonprofit experience a plus. Strong computer proficiency in a Windows environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Online. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues with diverse backgrounds. Strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Good written and verbal communication skills
