Job Summary:

The Production Technician is responsible for assembling, wiring, and mounting sub-assemblies and electrical components used in control equipment such as panelboards and switchboards. This role involves interpreting electrical drawings and schematics, performing quality checks, and ensuring compliance with manufacturing standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates technical precision, teamwork, and commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities: Assemble panelboards and/or switchboards to customer specifications using hand and power tools. Wire, fit, and mount sub-assemblies and components based on electrical schematics and work instructions. Inspect and test finished products to ensure they meet quality and specification standards. Use wire strippers, pliers, and other tools for electrical wiring assembly. Maintain steady progress on assigned jobs and report part shortages or production issues. Receive, organize, and store materials; prepare finished products for shipment. Support Lean Initiatives by suggesting improvements related to quality, processes, and safety. Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace according to 5S and safety guidelines. Cross-train across multiple functions to support production flexibility. Required Skills:

Minimum one year of experience in assembly or a related field using hand and/or power tools (automotive, carpentry, or construction experience acceptable). Ability to follow detailed manufacturing drawings and written instructions. Strong attention to detail and adherence to quality standards. Good communication skills — both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a small team. Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs regularly. Willingness to work overtime as required. Preferred Skills:

High school diploma or GED equivalent. Experience with CNC bus fabrication, press brake operations, or related manufacturing processes. Familiarity with wiring diagrams, torque tolerance, and power flow systems. Proficiency with measuring tools and electrical assembly equipment (drill press, fork truck, jib crane, fixtures, etc.).
