Job Summary:

The Quality Technician is responsible for performing inspections, tests, and documentation to ensure that beverage products meet all company, customer, and regulatory quality standards. This role monitors in-process production, conducts routine quality checks, and enforces GMP and food safety protocols. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and experienced in quality control within food or beverage manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform line inspections including fill weights, torque, packaging integrity, and label placement Conduct checks for pH, Brix, temperature, and visual defects Monitor cleaning and sanitation effectiveness as part of environmental quality checks Follow company SOPs and testing protocols with precision Maintain accurate records of all inspections and tests per company SOPs Report non-conformances, deviations, or product defects to QA Lead or Manager Support documentation for holds, rework, or corrective actions Monitor production and packaging areas maintain quality and cleanliness standards Participate in internal audits, inspections, and safety drills when required Handle QA samples properly and dispose of waste in compliance with plant protocols Communicate quality concerns clearly and professionally to operators and supervisors Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety, food safety, and quality standards, including GMPs, PPE requirements, and hazard reporting Perform all other duties or tasks assigned by management to support departmental or company objectives. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Inspection Completion Rate : Timely, accurate execution of scheduled checks Documentation Accuracy : Error-free logs, reports, and test results Required Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or GED required 1-2 years of quality assurance or production experience in food/beverage industry preferred Skills & Competencies:

Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and basic lab procedures Ability to read and follow SOPs, production orders, and safety instructions Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to communicate effectively with operators and supervisors Basic computer and data entry skills (Excel, QA systems) l within food or beverage manufacturing. Key Responsibilities:

Complete accurate and timely QA documentation, logs, and checklists Record batch, lot, and sample information with attention to traceability Report non-conformances, deviations, or product defects to QA Lead or Manager Support documentation for holds, rework, or corrective actions Compliance & Safety

Adhere to GMP, HACCP, and food safety guidelines at all times Ensure production and packaging areas maintain quality and cleanliness standards Participate in internal audits, inspections, and safety drills when required Handle QA samples properly and dispose of waste in compliance with plant protocols Cross-Functional Support

Collaborate with Production, Sanitation, and Maintenance teams to uphold quality standards Communicate quality concerns clearly and professionally to operators and supervisors Assist in root cause investigations and corrective action processes as needed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Inspection Completion Rate: Timely, accurate execution of scheduled checks Documentation Accuracy: Error-free logs, reports, and test results First Pass Yield: Products passing QA checks on first run Deviation Response Time: Time to identify and escalate non-conformances Audit Readiness: Compliance during internal or external QA audits
