JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE Provides direct effective management of the Nutrition Services Department through planning, organizing, coordination, budgeting, controlling and evaluating all phases of the food service system.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Nutritional Services teams at Samaritan Health Services provide a variety of services including all food service for patients and employees as well as medical nutrition therapy specially designed to meet individual patient needs. Our range of service not only includes direct patient care but educational programs such as classes and one-on-one counseling. We also facilitate all meal service within Samaritan for both employees and patients which includes options such as cafeteria service, catering, espresso and providing nutritional supplies and equipment for departments.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree preferred. Two (2) years food service management experience required. CDM (Certified Dietary Manager) required within 18 months of hire. Experience with Microsoft Office programs required. PCH Nutrition Services: a. A Bachelor's degree in a nutrition, healthcare, or business related field plus one (1) year leadership experience may be accepted in lieu of qualification #2.
