Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Tariff-Driven Strategy Development

Monitor and analyze U.S. import tariffs and global trade policy developments Create and implement sourcing strategies that optimize cost, lead time, and risk exposure based on tariff impacts Provide data-backed recommendations for shifting supply sources or adjusting insourcing/outsourcing models

Global Manufacturing Site Assessment

Evaluate and recommend which regional manufacturing sites should produce specific parts/components based on tariff exposure, logistics costs, and customer demand locations Partner with operations and supply chain leaders to align sourcing decisions with regional capacity and capabilities

Resourcing/Insourcing/Outsourcing Execution

Lead initiatives to transition production across suppliers or in-house operations Develop business cases for outsourcing or insourcing decisions, factoring in financial, operational, and compliance considerations Ensure smooth execution of sourcing transitions while minimizing supply disruptions

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with procurement, finance, trade compliance, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to align strategies with business goals Partner with senior leadership to reassess sourcing models as tariff and trade landscapes evolve

Analytics & Reporting

Build models to simulate tariff cost impacts under different scenarios Provide clear reporting and presentations to leadership on sourcing recommendations, cost savings, and risk mitigation strategies

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred) 7+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain strategy, preferably in a manufacturing environment Deep knowledge of global trade policies, tariffs, and compliance requirements Strong analytical and financial modeling skills; ability to translate complex data into clear business insights Experience leading cross-border sourcing initiatives, including supplier transitions and manufacturing footprint optimization Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to influence senior leaders Domestic and international travel may be required COMPETENCIES:
