The Aircraft Mechanic 1 inspects, repairs, and replaces MH47 functional components including rigging, flight controls, components, plumbing and hydraulic units, using hand tools, power tools, and special tools/test sets. Supports scheduled and unscheduled maintenance with an emphasis on phase maintenance.
Responsibilities
Works supporting the PBMF MH47 program. The Aircraft Mechanic I troubleshoots malfunctions on aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulics, engines, axillary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems. Disassembles, cleans, washes, inspects, repairs, and reassembles aircraft in support of phase maintenance events. This worker will read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.

Qualifications
Must be a US citizen. Must be able to obtain a secret clearance. 6+ years' experience in rotary wing/military aviation. Maintain aircraft logbook forms and records. Must be able to pass a basic physical to operate equipment/vehicles on the flight line and be a member of the aircraft towing team. Experience using aircraft special tools and test sets. Must have own tools/toolbox. Experience with MH47 aircraft is desirable.
