We are seeking managers with Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead and/or Control Account Manager (CAM) experience to lead our growing platforms engineering team in support of the MDA business area.
What You'll Get To Do
This is a dual-role technical manager position including people management and direct program leadership contribution. The split between program and functional duties will be approximately 80% program and 20% functional, on average. The direct program work may include technical work, IPT leadership, or any other appropriate technical contribution.
Key Roles And Responsibilities Include
Supporting a team of 10-15 technical staff in a functional management role. Administrative management responsibilities include staffing, performance and compensation management, and career development. Leading a multidisciplinary team on several hardware engineering and deployment projects as an IPT Lead. Deriving requirements, writing verification statements, and authoring and overseeing Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) as an IPT Lead on aforementioned hardware engineering and deployment projects. Collaborating with technical and leadership resources from other departments to facilitate project execution. Being responsible and accountable to stakeholders and program managers for labor and material execution through CAM assignments, status updates, issue resolution, and overall engineering execution. Partnering with program management office to ensure successful execution against cost and schedule targets. Providing technical leadership to the team and ensuring proper engineering processes and procedures are followed. Working with Global Supply Chain (GSC) to procure hardware and/or software to ensure the success of engineering efforts. Working with peers and training leads to identify critical skill shortfalls, developing appropriate technical training, and improving team performance.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 8+ years of relevant experience; Master of Science degree in STEM related field with 6+ years of relevant experience; PhD in STEM related field with 4+ years of relevant experience. Experience in mechanical design, mechanical analysis, or systems engineering including responsibility as an IPT or technical lead. Experience deriving and verifying requirements, writing ATPs, and delivering engineering artifacts to ensure successful project completion. Strong leadership qualities, including excellent communication and collaboration, team engagement, and organizational skills. This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. Citizen. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Physics, Engineering, Business Management, Engineering Leadership, or equivalent. Experience in mechanical design and 3D modeling in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or NX including working knowledge of GD&T best practices. Experience overseeing engineering efforts as a CAM. Demonstrated success leading high performance teams as technical lead, IPT lead, and/or functional leader. Experience with Lean-Agile development for hardware systems. Active U.S. Government security clearance.
Salary Range: $149,400.00 - $224,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
