Full-time, with overtime opportunities About the Role We’re seeking an experienced
Industrial Mechanic
with a strong background working on
turbines, large motors, compressors, and gearboxes . This position requires advanced mechanical repair skills, equipment diagnostics expertise, and hands-on experience with heavy rotating equipment. You’ll work both independently and as part of a technical team to maintain, rebuild, and align high-value industrial systems. Key Responsibilities Turbine Maintenance & Repair Disassemble and reassemble turbine units (rotors, stators, seals, bearings) to OEM specifications. Inspect components for fatigue, wear, and distortion. Perform precision alignment and balancing using laser and dial tools. Large Motor Maintenance Tear down and rebuild large motors, including end bells, rotors, stators, and bearings. Support electrical testing (megger, surge, resistance). Maintain cooling, lubrication, and alignment systems. Compressor Maintenance Disassemble compressors for internal inspection (rotors, pistons, valves). Replace seals, gaskets, and rings; ensure pressure integrity. Conduct alignment and post-repair testing and vibration checks. Gearbox Repair Tear down and inspect gearboxes for wear, spalling, or lubrication failure. Replace gears, bearings, and seals to precise tolerances. Set up gear mesh, backlash, and verify oil system operation. General Mechanical Work Assemble mechanical systems using precision tools and torque equipment. Perform shaft and coupling alignments; minimize vibration and wear. Safely handle and rig heavy components with cranes or hoists. Interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and technical documentation. Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance using vibration and oil data. Preferred Skills Experience with
vibration analysis
and
non-destructive testing (NDT)
methods. Familiarity with
hydraulic and pneumatic systems . Strong understanding of
lockout/tagout (LOTO) , confined space, and PPE safety procedures. What You Bring Proven experience with
industrial mechanical systems
(turbines, compressors, or similar). Ability to perform precise alignments and mechanical fits. Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and teamwork skills.
