Position Summary The
BIM Coordinator
will support project teams by developing, managing, and coordinating Building Information Models throughout all phases of design and construction. This role ensures the accuracy and efficiency of digital construction documentation, promotes collaboration across disciplines, and supports project delivery through advanced model-based workflows. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and coordinate
3D BIM models
for architectural, structural, and MEP systems. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure model accuracy and consistency. Implement and maintain company
BIM standards, workflows, and best practices . Perform
clash detection and coordination
using Navisworks or similar software; issue and track clash reports. Generate
2D drawings and visualizations
from coordinated models for field and client use. Participate in
project coordination meetings , providing technical insight and BIM expertise. Support
construction planning and logistics
through model-based sequencing and scheduling (4D/5D BIM). Provide
training and support
to field and office staff in BIM tools and processes. Coordinate with IT/VDC departments to manage model data, file storage, and version control.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in
Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field , or equivalent work experience. 3+ years of experience
in BIM coordination within the construction industry. Proficiency in
Revit ,
Navisworks , and
AutoCAD ; familiarity with
Bluebeam ,
Synchro ,
BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud , or similar platforms preferred. Strong understanding of
construction sequencing, detailing, and building systems . Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and technical skills.
