Controller
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Controller to join our team, specializing in a variety of high-end roofing services and general contracting. You will play a pivotal role in executing and managing financial systems daily, thus bridging a critical gap for our growth and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Manage and execute financial controls and operating systems on a daily basis.
Oversee all aspects of accounting including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger management.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
Drive financial reporting and refine accounting processes.
Ensure accurate and timely month-end reconciliations.
Integrate and consolidate multiple financial data points, eliminating duplication.
Collaborate with the team to support marketing efforts and operational expansion.
Essential Skills
3-5 years of hands-on controller/accounting experience in commercial, construction, or manufacturing environments.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, cost accounting, and internal controls.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in construction or manufacturing sectors is advantageous.
Understanding of systems architecture.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Self-starter with the ability to integrate well with the existing team.
Work Environment
The role is primarily onsite, working from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, with the potential for one remote day per week. The company has a rich 71-year history and operates mainly through referrals, offering a collaborative work environment that values practical skills and personality fit.

This is a Permanent position based out of Rochester Hills, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
Working on getting benefits and other bonus possibilities.
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Rochester Hills,MI.
