Position Overview
We’re seeking a skilled
CNC Machinist
to join a precision manufacturing team specializing in high-quality metal components. In this hands-on role, you’ll use advanced CNC equipment and measuring tools to produce precision parts that meet exacting specifications. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented problem solvers with a passion for craftsmanship, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and set up CNC mills, lathes, and related equipment to meet production goals and quality standards.
Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineered drawings to determine machining requirements.
Inspect and measure parts throughout the manufacturing process to ensure dimensional accuracy and material compliance.
Conduct final inspections and prepare components for packaging and shipment.
Complete quality inspection documentation for each work order.
Collaborate with internal teams and customers to clarify requirements and review project details.
Support the preparation of customer quotes (RFQs) and progress updates (WIP).
Participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives and maintain a safe, organized work area.
Tools & Equipment Used
Haas CNC mills, precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gauge blocks), Faro Arm, and general shop tools.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Primarily shop-based role.
Standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
Occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.
Shop uniform or protective attire required.
Qualifications
Education & Training
High school diploma or GED required.
Certificate or associate degree in Machine Technology, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
Valid driver’s license required.
Experience
Minimum of
5 years of CNC programming and operation
experience.
Experience machining metals such as steel, stainless steel, bronze, or cast materials.
Familiarity with
Mazak CNC systems
preferred.
At least
5 years of experience using precision measuring tools
in a manufacturing or similar environment.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Skills & Abilities
Proficient in reading and writing CNC programs (G-Code and M-Code).
Skilled in Autodesk Inventor or similar CAD/CAM software.
Strong knowledge of geometry, tolerances, and dimensional conversions.
Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated commitment to quality and safety standards.
