Residential Plumbing & HVAC Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled and dependable *Plumbing & HVAC Technician* to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in both residential and light commercial plumbing and/or HVAC systems, capable of diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining a variety of systems efficiently and professionally. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service. *Key Responsibilities:* * Diagnose, repair, and install plumbing systems including water lines, drain lines, fixtures, water heaters, pumps, and related components. * Perform HVAC system installations, maintenance, and repairs, including furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, and ventilation systems. * Troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine the best solutions for long-term system performance. * Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plumbing and HVAC systems. * Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturer specifications. * Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, explaining work performed and recommendations. * Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent. * Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations. * Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency services when needed. * Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicle in clean and working order. *Qualifications:* * *Education:* High school diploma or GED required. Completion of a plumbing or HVAC technical program preferred. * *Experience:* Minimum 2–5 years of plumbing and/or HVAC field experience. * *Licenses/Certifications:* * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. * Plumbing license or apprentice card (depending on state requirements). * EPA 608 Certification (for HVAC work). * Additional HVAC certifications (NATE, HVAC Excellence, etc.) are a plus. * *Skills & Abilities:* * Strong knowledge of plumbing and/or HVAC systems, components, and code compliance. * Proficiency with hand and power tools. * Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. * Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. * Strong communication and customer service abilities. * Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks in various conditions. *Compensation & Benefits:* * Competitive hourly wage based on experience and licensing. * Company vehicle, tools, and uniforms provided. * Opportunities for training, licensing, and career advancement.
