Primary Role _ About the Internship:Join Pennsylvania American Water as a Business Development Intern and gain hands-on exposure to the strategic processes behind identifying, securing, and integrating acquisitions. Key Accountabilities

* Gain firsthand experience in the full spectrum of business development activities, including acquisition strategy, research, and integration planning. * Support the BD team in organizing and maintaining SharePoint documentation for improved efficiency and accessibility. * Assist in compiling and organizing testimony and regulatory documentation related to acquisitions. * Help develop and maintain a public-facing database of affirmative acquisition references to support future growth initiatives. * Conduct research and prepare reports to support a wide variety of items including acquisition evaluations and strategic planning. * Assist with databases and other reporting tools to compile, calculate, track, and report data pertaining to various processes. _

Knowledge/Skills _ * Communication: Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and excels in both verbal and written communication skills. * Analytical Skills: Effective problem solving and ability to conduct research, analyze data, and present findings clearly. * Organizational Skills: Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage documentation and support project workflows. * Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and database tools. * Independent Worker: Ability to manage time across multiple projects and deadlines. * Collaborative: Willingness to work closely with cross-functional teams. _

Experience/Education _ * Enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Public Administration, Political Science, or a related field. * Minimum of 2 years of completed coursework. _
