Flex
Overview
Flex is a growth-stage, NYC headquartered FinTech company creating the best rent payment experience. Flex enables users to pay rent throughout the month on a schedule that better fits their finances and budget. Our mission is to empower renters with flexibility over their most significant recurring expense. We are looking for motivated individuals to help grow our mission.
About The Role
We’re hiring a
Senior Director, Product Partnerships
to close, scale and own high-impact partnerships that expand Flex’s distribution reach, power our platform, and deliver outsized enterprise value. The ideal candidate combines strategic business development capability with strong product fluency—capable of driving new partnerships from concept to close and managing key existing relationships to unlock deeper collaboration and sustained growth.
You’ll own the full lifecycle for mission critical partnerships—from identifying opportunities and structuring agreements to operationalizing, optimizing and expanding them in collaboration with product, engineering, go-to-market and finance teams. This is a highly visible, externally-facing leadership role reporting to the SVP of Business Development & Strategic Partnerships.
What You’ll Do
Source, structure, and close new partnerships that expand Flex’s distribution and product & platform capabilities.
Manage and grow existing strategic relationships, driving alignment at the executive level and expanding collaboration over time.
Own the full partner lifecycle — from prospecting and value proposition development to negotiation, launch, and long-term management.
Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Finance and Legal to align partnership opportunities with product strategy and ensure successful delivery.
Develop compelling partner narratives and business cases that demonstrate mutual value and strategic alignment.
Design scalable commercial and operational frameworks that support sustainable growth.
Maintain rigorous pipeline and performance tracking, reporting clearly on progress, risks, and priorities to senior leadership.
Build repeatable playbooks for identifying, evaluating, and scaling high-impact partnerships across new categories.
Key Qualifications
8–10+ years of experience in product partnerships, business development, or strategic alliances, ideally within fintech, SaaS, or consumer technology.
Direct experience in FinTech, with a strong understanding of how banks, payment networks, and financial infrastructure providers operate—ideally through partnerships or integrations with card networks, issuers, or payment processors.
Proven success sourcing, negotiating, and managing complex partnerships with measurable business impact.
Strong understanding of how partnerships intersect with product strategy, engineering priorities, and go-to-market execution.
Excellent relationship builder and communicator—able to engage effectively at both executive and operational levels.
Commercially minded and analytically rigorous, with the ability to structure deals, model outcomes, and drive data-informed decisions.
Comfortable operating as both hunter and operator, balancing origination with execution excellence.
Thrives in a high-growth, dynamic environment; resourceful, accountable, and driven by impact.
The compensation range for this role will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and Flex's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks. This is a commission earning role. The OTE (On Target Earnings) is $267,000-286,000.
