Director, Portfolio Strategy

fairlife, LLC is a Chicago-based nutrition company creating dairy and lactose‑free products with $3B in annual retail sales. The Director of Portfolio Strategy will shape fairlife’s long‑term growth strategy, leading mid‑ to long‑term initiatives that guide enterprise decision‑making, including macro trend analysis, market intelligence, and demand forecasting.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and alignment of fairlife’s long‑range strategic roadmap by partnering with cross‑functional teams (Marketing, Finance, R&D, Sales, Supply Chain).

Own market/enterprise reporting: macroeconomic monitoring, retailer and competitor landscape, M&A activity, opportunity mapping.

Facilitate end‑to‑end strategic workshops and ongoing collaboration routines.

Educate and inspire ELT by surfacing relevant strategic growth projects and providing thought leadership on emerging themes (e.g., GLP‑1).

Build a winning and engaged team supported by a strong ecosystem of strategic partners.

Qualifications

8‑10 years of experience in CPG, related analytical roles, or professional services (consulting).

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or related field; MBA preferred.

Advanced Excel skills (modeling, regressions, correlations).

Experience leveraging POS data (Nielsen/IRI) and consumer panel data preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication and storytelling skills.

Ability to handle ambiguity in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Reports To VP, Portfolio Strategy & Insights

Travel Requirements 15%

Compensation Base pay range: $140,000 – $190,000 USD. A full range of medical, financial, and other benefits is offered, dependent on the position.
