The Johns Hopkins Department of Radiation Oncology and Molecular Radiation Sciences seeks an outstanding, clinically exemplary, academically-focused radiation oncologist specializing in thoracic cancers to join the Department of Radiation Oncology. This candidate will practice primarily at the Thoracic Center of Excellence at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Bayview Medical Center in East Baltimore. The Thoracic Center of Excellence is a unique environment where multi-disciplinary experts, including thoracic radiation oncology, thoracic medical oncology, thoracic surgery, and interventional Radiation Oncologist - Thoracicpulmonology, co-localize in a shared clinical space to provide exemplary patient-centered coordinated same-day care for our patients in combined clinics, and in multidisciplinary clinics with the support of social work, smoking cessation, and chaplaincy. Research can combine clinical, physics, and/or biology-based interests, emphasizing innovative clinical trials. The successful candidate will work closely with the integrated clinical team at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, the National Capital Region, and The Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Qualifications

Requirements include an M.D. degree(s), ABR board certification or eligibility, demonstrated clinical competency in Radiation Oncology, and a strong interest in the clinical care and research of lung cancer patients.

The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on Johns Hopkins University\'s good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Additional Provisions

The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella, Rubeola, Mumps, Varicella, Hepatitis B, and documentation of having received the Tdap vaccination. This may include documentation of having two MMR vaccines, two Varicella vaccines, or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing.
