Family Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) – UNC Family Medicine at Pikeville UNC Health is seeking a dedicated Family Medicine or Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the UNC Family Medicine at Pikeville team in Pikeville, NC. Pikeville is located just north of Goldsboro and one hour east of Raleigh, offering a welcoming community, affordable living, and easy access to the coast and the Triangle. This outpatient, collaborative practice focuses on prevention, chronic disease management, and wellness across all ages, with emphasis on continuity and patient-centered care. Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages in a family medicine setting Conduct routine health maintenance visits, physical exams, and preventive screenings Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, COPD, and heart disease Diagnose and treat common acute illnesses within the scope of primary care Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and care coordinators to deliver team-based, patient-centered care Participate in quality improvement, care coordination, and population health initiatives Monday–Friday schedule, no nights or weekends required Qualifications
Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in North Carolina (or eligible) Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or primary care preferred; new graduates with strong primary care clinical rotations are encouraged to apply BLS certification required (ACLS optional) What We Offer
