Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks to hire a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic Hematology/Oncology - Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy team in Sacramento, CA. Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care, both inpatient and outpatient, for individuals undergoing hematologic malignancy treatment, stem cell transplantation (autologous/allogeneic), and CAR‑T cellular therapies. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team—including transplant coordinators, nurse navigators, and specialty RNs—to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care. Participate in tumor boards, case conferences, clinical rounds, and the continuum of care from initial consult to long-term follow-up and survivorship. Engage in clinical documentation and EMR usage, leveraging Sutter's EPIC system and supported by RN coverage and clinical support staff. Assist with clinical and translational research, including support from the Sutter Institute for Medical Research (SIMR), and participate in journal clubs or educational sessions. Requirements
Graduate from an accredited NP or PA program with appropriate national certification (e.g., AANP, ANCC, NCCPA). California licensure eligibility and clearances (NP/PA licensure required). Prior experience in hematology/oncology, stem cell transplantation, or cellular therapies (e.g., CAR‑T) is strongly preferred.
