Overview
Build a rewarding career by bringing your passion, energy, and dedication to Phoenix Children’s—where every role makes a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families. As one of the nation’s top pediatric healthcare systems, we offer 75+ subspecialty fields and eight centers of excellence. Named a Best Children’s Hospital by U.S. News & World Report, we support the advanced treatments you need to provide exceptional care. Inspired by the energy of our expanding metro area, we invite you to join us and see the big difference we can make together.
Division and Services The Division of Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care at Phoenix Children’s has grown dramatically over the past two decades, emerging as a cornerstone of pediatric health care in Arizona. Since opening our first free-standing hospital in 2002, our emergency department on the Thomas Campus has become the state’s only free-standing Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, seeing over 90,000 children each year.
As the Phoenix metro area continues to grow, so does our commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. We’ve added a free-standing emergency department in the West Valley, and our new three-story hospitals in the Northwest and East Valley, with 24/7 pediatric emergency medicine (PEM) coverage, bring expert care closer to families across the region.
Beyond emergency services, our four urgent care centers located across the Valley offer families convenient access to pediatric care for less critical needs. Staffed by experienced pediatricians and advanced practice providers (APPs), these centers are open evenings on weekdays and throughout the weekend to serve families when their pediatrician’s office is closed.
Our team of over 100 dedicated providers—including PEM physicians, general pediatricians and APPs—creates a supportive, collaborative environment that focuses on providing compassionate, child-centered care. Through Phoenix Children’s Medical Group, we collaborate with a vast network of pediatric subspecialties to ensure our patients have access to comprehensive expertise for both urgent and complex medical needs.
Education and Collaboration We are deeply committed to advancing pediatric emergency medicine through our accredited PEM fellowship program, which trains four fellows annually. Our partnerships with the residency programs at Phoenix Children’s and Valleywise, HonorHealth and Dignity Health, and medical students from the University of Arizona and Mayo Clinic, make our Division a vibrant center of education and research.
Role The staff physician shall provide patient care services and will support the Phoenix Children’s mission of providing hope, healing and the best health care for children and their families.
