Job Purpose
The Licensed Mental or Behavioral Health Therapist (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT) at 26Health provides compassionate, trauma-informed, and culturally competent therapy services to individuals, couples, families, and groups from diverse backgrounds. This role addresses a broad spectrum of client concerns—including trauma, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, gender dysphoria, relationship issues, parenting, self-esteem, and substance use—through evidence-based, person-centered approaches. The therapist works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver inclusive and affirming care that aligns with 26Health’s mission to foster mental wellness, resilience, and positive change in the communities we serve.
Duties and responsibilities ·
Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain confidentiality standards within the electronic health records (EHR) system. ·
Utilize evidence-based modalities to address treatment goals and provide symptom self-management tools. ·
Conduct and document biopsychosocial assessments with timely, accurate clinical records. ·
Support clients in developing coping strategies, improving relationships, and gaining self-awareness. ·
Advocate for clients, including making referrals and providing crisis intervention when necessary. ·
Fulfill all legal reporting mandates (e.g., child/elder abuse). ·
Demonstrate cultural competence and trauma-informed care, with a focus on LGBTQ+ populations. ·
Address co-occurring conditions and substance misuse as appropriate. ·
Facilitate support groups and therapeutic workshops for targeted communities. ·
Stay current on emerging mental health practices through continuing education. ·
Review SAMHSA questionnaires to identify individuals for potential CoCM referral; facilitate follow-up questionnaires. ·
Recommend process or service improvements to enhance care quality and operational efficiency. ·
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic, person-centered care delivery. ·
Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Experience ·
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related mental health field from an accredited institution. ·
Active, unrestricted Florida license (LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT). ·
Minimum 2 years of clinical therapy experience preferred. ·
Training/certification in at least one specialty (e.g., EMDR, DBT, TF-CBT, IFS, Brainspotting) preferred. ·
Experience with trauma-informed care and culturally competent service delivery. ·
Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred. ·
Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
Working conditions ·
Prolonged periods standing, walking, and/or sitting at a desk and working on a computer may be required. Work may be required in various environments as needed by project/activity. Physical requirements ·
May require the occasional ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
