The Assistant Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service through the selection, development, and motivation of associates and by managing the daily operations of a restaurant to optimize profits. You will create and deliver first-class experiences for the traveling public, whether leading an on-trend national brand or an iconic concept from the local community. Sustain an engaged workforce, develop bench strength, partner with the General Manager to develop training plans, recognize and coach team members, source candidates, ensure compliance training, set performance goals, participate in evaluations, and drive engagement. Operational Excellence: Maintain guest-focused service; resolve complaints within 24 hours; model expected behaviors; maintain restaurant image, cleanliness, food quality, and grooming standards; be a visible presence; monitor and adjust operations as needed; ensure HACCP compliance and sanitary practices; complete opening/closing checklists and closing procedures. Profitable Growth: Create schedules to maximize sales and control labor costs; complete weekly inventory; maintain food cost after orders; ensure adherence to recipes and portions; complete payroll duties; follow security and loss prevention procedures; maintain a safe environment and document accidents; communicate daily goals and review budget goals with the General Manager. Innovation: Understand hardware and software systems used in the role (inventory, purchasing, forecasting, scheduling, timekeeping, email, electronic filing); adapt to fast-moving conditions; drive innovation and collaboration. Productivity: Work efficiently, delegate effectively, sustain performance under stress, and ensure compliance with policies and laws. Effective Communication: Deliver clear multi-mode communications; maintain open communication with management and staff; be receptive to feedback; demonstrate leadership, teamwork, and the ability to engage with diverse patrons and team members. Position Qualifications

3-5 years of restaurant management experience. Current ServSafe Food Manager Certification within six months of hire/promotion. Physical requirements: lift a minimum of 25 lbs; stand, bend, reach, climb ladders, walk long distances; work in varying temperatures. Bachelor of Science in hotel/restaurant management is desirable; combination of experience and education considered. Proficient in restaurant operations: food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, policies, personnel management, recordkeeping, and reporting. Willingness to work varied shifts in a 7/365 team environment; schedule determined by business needs. Proficiency in reading, writing, Microsoft Office, and mathematics.
