Florida Housing Finance Corporation (Florida Housing) is seeking a Multifamily Loans and Bonds Director to join our Multifamily Programs team. This leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to guide the financing and development of affordable multifamily rental housing across the state. About the Role
The Multifamily Loans and Bonds Director oversees the Loans and Bonds team within the Multifamily Programs unit. This team manages the underwriting, closing, and construction oversight of multifamily developments funded through Multifamily Mortgage Revenue Bonds, State Apartment Incentive Loans (SAIL), and other state-appropriated loan and grant programs. This is a highly independent supervisory position requiring strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills. The successful candidate will: Lead and supervise the Loans and Bonds team in managing multifamily development financing. Oversee all aspects of the credit underwriting and loan closing processes. Resolve development-specific challenges and provide strategic solutions. Review and prepare materials for Florida Housing’s Board meetings. Ensure compliance with program rules, policies, and procedures. Collaborate with other departments to develop and refine program guidelines. Advise internal and external stakeholders on program requirements and best practices. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and outcomes. Mentor and support professional growth of team members in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, business administration, or a related field (work experience may be substituted) Professional experience in real estate development, banking, or finance Knowledge and/or experience in affordable housing development (preferred but not required). Proven ability to manage complex projects and coordinate among multiple stakeholders. Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills. This is an in-person position in the Tallahassee office of Florida Housing Finance Corporation. We do not offer remote work options. Anticipated hiring salary is $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
