Responsibilities Pediatrix Medical Group
is seeking an experienced
Board-Certified Pediatric Intensivist
to provide per diem coverage at
Summerville Medical Center (SMC)
– just 30 minutes from Charleston!
Your Clinical Scope
6-bed PICU
with 2 observation beds
Level III NICU support
Telephone consult
available with quaternary care center 45 minutes away
Inpatient pediatric floor + ER consults
24 hour rounding plus call from home/hotel
Procedures include
: intubations, LPs, line/chest tube placement, CPR
2024 Census
: 373 pediatric admits, 85 PICU admits, ADC: 4.1
Subspecialty Support
Onsite: Pediatric Surgery, GI, ENT, Anesthesia, Radiology
Telemedicine: Pediatric Cardiology
