Chief Operating Officer – IT Company Industry: Information Technology and Services. Based: Copenhagen, Denmark. Salary level: approximately DKK1.7million per annum.

About the Role: As Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for the daily operations and strategic execution within a dynamic and rapidly evolving technology company. Working directly with the Chief Executive Officer and the Board, you will be expected to drive alignment between operations, software development, cybersecurity, client delivery, and financial performance. You will lead cross‑functional teams and be accountable for the continuous development and scaling of processes, digital platforms, client services and infrastructure systems that support high performance and agility in a competitive marketplace.

Your role will focus on enhancing operational scalability, enabling digital transformation, and ensuring best‑in‑class delivery of products and services to both domestic and international clients. You will oversee resource optimisation, strategic budgeting, organisational effectiveness and vendor management. You will design, implement and refine operational workflows, evaluate system performance through key metrics, and embed a data‑driven approach into every layer of the organisation. You will also serve as the executive responsible for internal controls, ISO standards compliance, and the legal aspects of procurement, service levels, and contractual agreements.

Profile: You will bring a proven track record in executive operational leadership within the technology sector, preferably within cloud‑based software, platform delivery, or high‑volume IT services. You will be a strategic thinker and an analytical problem‑solver who thrives on complexity, innovation and delivering measurable outcomes. You will have deep understanding of enterprise IT architecture, agile frameworks, digital integration and data governance. You will have at least ten years of senior‑level leadership, including direct experience in scaling businesses, leading enterprise transformations, and managing cross‑border teams.

You will possess extensive knowledge of industry benchmarks and regulatory standards, as well as the ability to drive technical and commercial decision‑making processes in a structured yet entrepreneurial environment. You will be commercially astute, able to interpret financial statements, drive budget ownership across departments, and align cost structures with value generation. Experience with cybersecurity protocols, SaaS deployment, DevOps, and business intelligence platforms is highly beneficial.

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills: Strong leadership and people management competencies, with a coaching‑based management style and a track record of building resilient leadership teams. Profound knowledge of operational excellence methodologies, including Lean, Six Sigma, and ITIL frameworks. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and convert insights into strategic action. Proficiency in enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, and cloud‑based collaboration tools. Demonstrated ability to manage business continuity, regulatory compliance, and supplier performance across multiple jurisdictions.

Languages: Fluent in English; Danish is a distinct advantage. Additional proficiency in another European language is welcomed.
