Phlebotomist
Labcorp is looking for a dedicated Phlebotomist to work at either a Patient Service Center or a Client office. The role includes providing exceptional customer service, performing skilled specimen collections, and maintaining accurate records.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
- Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed
Job Requirements
- Valid California Phlebotomy License or an application in progress at time of hire
- +1 year of experience as a phlebotomist is highly preferred
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record, if applicable
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Must attend 2‑week training in California
- Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test
Pay Range: $21.00 – $33.00 per hour, based on skills and experience
Work Schedule: Monday‑Friday 6:45 am–3:15 pm; rotating weekends may be required
