The Opportunity
Implement talent acquisition strategy by identifying and recommending qualified candidates to meet business needs and organizational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Utilize your expertise to narrow applicant pools and ensure recommended candidates meet hiring needs.
- Manage end‑to‑end talent acquisition process for assigned managers, including sourcing, screening and recommending candidates.
- Serve as a resource to candidates by managing salary negotiations and communicating the hiring process.
- Deliver quality service to recruitment leaders by providing quality candidates that are engaged and ready to proceed.
- Assist with identifying opportunities for continuous improvement; escalade issues to upper‑level team members.
- Optimize external network by maintaining a visible market profile and fostering ongoing communication with prospective candidates and industry thought leaders.
- Technology‑focused: Knowledgeable in cutting‑edge technologies; explain and discuss complex technology simply.
- Knowledgeable in technical job descriptions and able to screen and recommend qualified candidates.
- Understand the technology marketplace and capable of sourcing and engaging with passive talent.
- Executive‑focused: Experience engaging executive talent, sourcing high level individuals, assessing talent, and relationship management skills.
- Identify and move high‑potential internal talent.
- Write up candidate profiles and present them to senior executive decision‑making teams.
- Maintain a pipeline of high‑potential talent; build industry relationships and succession plans.
- Campus‑focused: Organize and participate in recruiting events; build relationships with campus career centers, faculty, student organizations, and diversity associations.
- Plan and implement office internships, new graduate programs, and QBE‑hosted diversity recruiting events.
- Support and manage summer internship and new graduate program.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 5 years relevant experience.
- Build and establish constructive and cooperative working relationships with open communication lines.
- Use logic and reasoning to evaluate alternative solutions and conclusions.
- Maintain confidentiality of private or sensitive information.
- Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication.
- Motivational, inspirational, and enthusiastic approach to team involvement and engagement.
- Understand customer needs and actively seek ways to meet them.
- Manage and prioritize competing responsibilities concurrently and effectively.
- Provide personalized and quality service to internal and external customers.
- Clearly and confidently convey information to various audiences.
- Work independently with little supervision or direction.
- Intermediate understanding of principles and procedures for recruiting, interviewing, and selecting talent.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance requirements, and affirmative action plan related to recruitment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and ability to create and edit documents in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong working knowledge of applicant tracking systems.
Compensation Package
The salary range for this role is $64,000 – $105,500. The offer will be determined by role complexity, location, and candidate professional background. In addition to base salary, full‑time and part‑time employees are eligible for QBE’s annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance.
