Duties

The Admissions Recruiter is responsible for creating and expanding the awareness of Moraine Valley Community College within the college district. The recruiter provides informational advice to prospective students regarding admission to the college, educational options, and support services available to students. The role focuses on recruiting both adult and high‑school learners, conducting outreach at district high schools, businesses, libraries, and community‑based organizations, as well as leading on‑campus recruitment events. Recruitment efforts are split between adult and high‑school learners based on the strategic goals of the Admissions department. The recruiter will create and report on Dual Credit students transitioning to Moraine Valley Community College, serve as a liaison with the dual‑credit department, and regularly update the department on initiatives focusing on adult learners.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field required.
• Minimum of one to three (1‑3) years of experience in recruitment and marketing initiatives required, preferably in higher education.
• Experience developing and executing strategic plans; working with various campus/community populations and adult and high‑school learners.

Qualifications

In addition to the above, the Admissions Recruiter position requires extensive interaction with the public; excellent written, verbal, and organizational communication skills; the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; the ability to plan and implement projects and events; knowledge of educational marketing and recruitment practices; technology competency; willingness to work weekends, evenings, and travel off‑campus as needed; and must possess a valid driver’s license.

Other Qualifications Sought

• Knowledge of Colleague (Ellucian).
• Metrics‑driven with the ability to utilize data to drive student enrollment.
• Bilingual skills in Arabic, Polish, or Spanish welcome; experience engaging with diverse campus and community populations.

Hours

General Hours:
Monday – Thursday: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and 9:00 am to 6:00 pm one day a week.
Friday: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Additional weekend and evening hours are required at times.

Salary/Wage

$47,945 – $64,160 (plus benefits). Salary is salaried.
