Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

This role is responsible for performing various routine tasks in an assigned area of a chocolate manufacturing site, following defined standard operating procedures. Tasks include cleaning, basic operation of equipment, operating forklifts, hand packing products, monitoring controls, and assisting with equipment changeover activities.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Performs a wide range of semi-skilled and unskilled jobs to support production operations.
  2. Performs non-maintenance tasks needed to maintain product flow and routine equipment operation, such as clearing jams, cleaning screens, and disposing of defective product or raw materials.
  3. Operates area equipment or subsystems safely and efficiently using established standard operating procedures.
  4. Maintains efficient operation of assigned equipment and subsystems through daily cleaning and routine adjustments. Generates work orders as needed.
  5. Performs cleaning and area setup.
  6. Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the work area, tools, and equipment, and assists other associates in maintaining workplace standards.
  7. Performs hand packing, including bulk pack, six-pack, and end-of-line packing.
  8. Monitors, inspects, and maintains product quality while organizing rows on the main distribution line.
  9. Prepares and ships finished goods according to standard operating procedures.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred: 1 year manufacturing experience and forklift experience.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work independently.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to lift 55 lbs.

Language Skills: Demonstrated ability to understand, communicate, read, and write basic work-related English.
