Purpose

This onsite role in Baton Rouge, LA supports multiple engineering and project tasks across all disciplines (equipment, piping, E&I, civil). The individual typically manages small projects, a single medium project or a portion of a large/mega project with daily operational responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate multi‑discipline engineering and construction staff and activities to ensure the project is executed safely, efficiently, cost‑effectively and on time.

Coordinate project activities to support the Project Manager and update the Project Execution Plan (PEP).

Act as the primary technical coordination interface with the client and site to meet expectations.

Manage risk register, gate readiness, RFP development, materials, scope of work, etc.

Ensure project compliance with regulatory and code requirements.

Provide accurate, timely and effective reports to management.

Communicate effectively with team members and third parties.

What You Will Bring

Project delivery experience in refinery and chemical processes.

Experience in change management, budgets, schedules, progress reporting, and work scope management.

12+ years engineering experience, including 5‑10 years of supervisory, project management and/or technical experience; experience in E, EP brownfield and greenfield projects across all disciplines.

Solid understanding of AWP, construction and project management principles from FEL 3 through construction.

Proficiency with engineering software applications, MS Office, Teams, SharePoint and other collaboration tools.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Leadership skills and experience managing small to medium‑sized projects.

Site experience or in‑refinery experience is a plus.

Demonstrated customer/stakeholder interaction skills.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training

BS or MS in a related field or an equivalent engineering degree.

Preferred

Professional registration in local jurisdiction.

Certified Project Management Professional (e.g., IPMA, APM, PMI, AIPM).
