Since 1996, DC Primary Care Association (DCPCA) has set the course for high quality, sustainable, accessible primary health care for all in the District of Columbia. From day one, DCPCA has been at the forefront of strengthening the District’s primary care system, expanding and improving services for residents through advocacy and resource development programs. DCPCA is looking for a Finance and Operations Specialist to ensure operations run efficiently and effectively, supporting community-based primary healthcare providers and promoting an integrated health care system in Washington, DC. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial management and budget monitoring: track and report program budgets, burn rates, and assist with grant financial reporting to funders; organize digital and minimal paper filing systems. Compliance and internal controls: ensure adherence to policies, regulations, GAAP, and IRS nonprofit reporting requirements; monitor internal controls to safeguard assets. Operations and administration: manage day‑to‑day office functions, coordinate with facilities management, oversee vendor contracts, leases, insurance renewals, and other administrative agreements. Human resources and compliance: support the Senior Director of Finance and Operations and outsourced HR team with onboarding, offboarding, benefits enrollment, and records management. Fundraising support and stakeholder engagement: track budgets, process donations, and maintain financial records for fundraising activities. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Associate degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Finance, or related field (strongly preferred). Two or more years of equivalent experience in a nonprofit setting, emphasizing financial operations, grants management, contracts, and administrative tasks. Sound judgement, integrity, and discretion with confidential information. Strong understanding of nonprofit accounting principles, budgeting, and financial reporting. Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and draw conclusions to inform decision‑making. Meticulousness in tracking expenses, reconciling reports, and ensuring accuracy in financial records. Ability to resolve challenges such as unexpected expenses or funding shortfalls. Effective communication with diverse stakeholders, both verbally and in writing. Collaboration with program leads, finance team members, and senior leadership to manage budgets and achieve organizational goals. Strong time management and prioritization skills. Proficiency with cloud‑based collaboration tools (e.g., Unanet, QuickBooks) and advanced Microsoft Excel; proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with QuickBooks and Paychex payroll software. Familiarity with administrative systems for financial, board, management, employee activity, project implementation, subcontracts, and consulting activities. Ability to distinguish problems that fall within staff responsibility from those requiring supervisor input. COMPENSATION
