Director of Fund Administration & Investor Relations This role is with a highly successful Real Estate Investment private equity firm in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have 7-12 years of combined experience in fund administration, investor relations, or fund accounting with real estate private equity exposure. The position can be remote with some travel. Base pay range is $105,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr.

Overview Accountants One has been engaged by the firm to find a Director of Fund Administration & Investor Relations to join their organization.

Responsibilities

Review and oversee the GL, partner capital accounts, waterfalls, management fees, and carried interest calculations.

Review and oversee the preparation of quarterly financial reports, NAVs, IRR/MOIC metrics, DPI/TVPI, and ensure timely audits and tax filings.

Manage subscription agreements, KYC/AML, investor accreditation, and Blue Sky filings in coordination with counsel.

Serve as day-to-day liaison with third-party administrators, auditors, and tax providers.

Investor Relations

Lead onboarding of new investors across Reg D channels.

Manage CRM and investor portal.

Develop and execute a consistent reporting cadence, quarterly letters, asset updates, webinars, and FAQs.

Support capital raising with DDQs, consultant databases, and tailored pitch materials.

Serve as escalation point for investor inquiries on performance, distributions, and tax matters.

Compliance & Governance

Maintain oversight of Reg D filings, Blue Sky registrations, and investor records.

Establish internal control processes and documentation in accordance with SOC requirements.

Partner with CFO/COO to align fund ops with treasury, banking, and cyber-risk controls.

Qualifications

7-12 years combined experience in fund administration, investor relations, or fund accounting in real estate private equity.

Proven track record managing close-end real estate funds between $50-$500M.

Experience with private equity/real estate fund administration platforms and investor portals.

Strong understanding of capital calls, distributions, IRR/MOIC reporting, and GP/LP alignment.

Highly professional and polished.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

CPA, CAIA, or CFA a plus.

Advanced Excel skills.
