2nd Shift Yard Jockey/Driver( CDL Class A License)

2nd Shift: 4pm-12am/midnight
As a Yard Jockey, you will ensure the cleanliness and safety of tractors and trailers, along with hooking up and the movement of empty trailers to open docks for loading or unloading of orders. You will also take trailers to the yard (Loaded/Parts/Empty). You will also maintain fuel levels of tractors.
Areas of Responsibilities:
Perform Pre-trip of Yard Truck prior to start of shift
Make moves as per Shipping Request (ex: empty to dock 2)
Check trailer to make sure there is no product in it
Inspect Trailers Pre-Movement
Fill out DVIR noting any exceptions
Report on any repair needed
Tractor to fuel island at the end of each shift for fuel
Clean a yard tractor at the end of the shift, inside and out
Fill out DVIR of any exceptions noted
Any other duties given by shipping clerk on duty, or supervisor
SAFETY:
Inspect trailer for damage and normal wear, and submit work orders as needed
Complete any necessary paperwork
Performs moves in a safe manner
EQUIPMENT:
Ensure that fuel level is full (Fill if necessary)
Maintain paperwork for all moves
Return empty, clean trailers to empty lot
Perform all trailer moves as dictated by dispatcher or warehouse/shipping clerk
Education and Experience:
Required:
HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT
CDL CLASS A LICENSE
