The Customer Service Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the success of our retail stores. This position involves engaging with both wholesale and retail customers to understand their needs, answer inquiries about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend the best solutions for them. Specialists proactively resolve customer concerns, prioritize client satisfaction, and stay informed about product features while upholding the high-quality standards of the store.
The key responsibilities include:
Delivering exceptional customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
Assisting customers in person and over the phone by identifying their needs and presenting suitable products and services.
Building strong, trust-based relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
Processing sales transactions accurately in alignment with company policies.
Aiming to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals.
Maintaining accurate work order files and formulas.
Pulling products from the sales floor or warehouse as needed.
Mixing and tinting products to match customer specifications.
Stocking shelves and setting up attractive product displays.
Cleaning store equipment and maintaining overall store appearance.
Loading/unloading delivery trucks and assisting with deliveries when required.
Keeping assigned areas well-stocked and presentable.
Staying knowledgeable about all available products to effectively discuss options with customers.
Following inventory control procedures to sustain product availability.
Providing suggestions for sales improvement.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be legally authorized to work in the country without needing sponsorship.
Must possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
Must be capable of retrieving materials from shelves, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Willingness to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED is preferred.
At least one year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service role.
Background in selling paint and paint-related products is a plus.
Experience with tinting and mixing equipment is advantageous.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in multiple languages is beneficial.
Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in Spanish is preferred.
