Vice President, Global Product Marketing, Promotion and Merchandise + Special Projects
Summary: Lead global promotions and gifting business category end-to-end, from strategy through execution. This is a highly visible, senior leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering the promotional and gifting roadmap that fuels consumer acquisition, loyalty, and incremental growth. Set the vision, lead the strategy, and inspire the team to craft best-in-class programs that redefine how beauty promotions and gifting drive engagement in the prestige category.
What You'll Do
Own the global promotions and gifting business category end-to-end, including strategy and execution.
Develop and execute promotional strategies and initiatives (holiday, limited-edition sets, sampling, gift-with-purchase) and partner with cross-functional teams to drive consumer acquisition and sales aligned with retailer strategies.
Monitor and analyze promotional performance metrics; provide insights to optimize effectiveness.
Ensure seamless execution of promotional initiatives (program development, creative briefs, campaign needs, messaging).
Merchandise Planning and Optimization
Develop and execute strategic merchandise plans for the global brand for all merchandise items, including saleable merchandise and launch support merchandise and influencer mailers; align with brand vision and market demands.
Collaborate with procurement, external partners, agencies, and vendors on merchandise innovation, design, costing, and execution coordination.
Lead collaborations with fashion, creative, and entertainment entities to design limited-edition products that captivate a global audience.
Assess merchandise needs and new opportunities with internal teams; use consumer insights and market trends to inform assortment decisions and growth opportunities.
Special Projects
Manage special projects such as sampling, visual merchandising, line edits.
Team Leadership and Development
Lead and develop the team; foster collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Provide guidance and mentorship to team members to support professional growth.
Must Haves
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field required; MBA preferred.
12-15 years of experience in promotions, merchandise planning, or related roles within beauty or consumer goods; fashion experience a plus.
Proven track record in developing and executing strategic promotional, gifting, and merchandise initiatives to drive sales and profitability.
Strong analytical skills using consumer insights and market data to inform decisions and drive results.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated leadership ability with experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
Hybrid schedule: 3 days in New York office per week.
