Oversee the development and application of traffic simulation models (e.g., Synchro, VISSIM, HCS). Serve as a technical expert and client liaison on complex transportation projects. Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. Collaborate with business development teams to identify opportunities, prepare proposals, and win new work. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation standards and guidelines. Represent the firm at industry conferences, client meetings, and public forums. REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred). Professional Engineer (PE) license required (Florida PE preferred). PTOE Certification (preferred) REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

10+ years of progressive experience in traffic engineering, including leadership in a consulting environment. Proven track record of managing traffic studies and delivering results to clients. Strong business acumen and experience with proposal writing and client development. Proficiency in traffic analysis tools (e.g., Synchro, VISSIM, SIDRA, HCS) and GIS platforms. Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills. IDEALLY, YOU SHOULD ALSO HAVE

Extensive experience working with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), including familiarity with FDOT standards, procedures, and project delivery processes. Demonstrated success in managing FDOT-funded projects or serving as a consultant on FDOT contracts. Knowledge of FDOT’s Traffic Engineering Manual (TEM), Plans Preparation Manual (PPM), and other relevant guidelines. LEVEL UP WITH LJA
