The role of the Swiss CNC Programmer is to develop a robust manufacturing process for new components and to continuously improve established processes. The Swiss CNC Programmer will use good manufacturing practices (GMP) to develop parts through the use of CAD, CAM, manual programming edits, tool selection and process verification techniques. CNC Swiss machining set up, blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge are important for success in this position. Pay
Pay range: $35-$40/hour, depending upon experience. Benefits

Reads and interprets technical drawings and CAD models Uses a mixture of CAM software and/or manual edits to program new and existing parts to optimize tool cutting path Develops and maintains detailed documentation for setup/inspection/manufacturing procedures for each newly developed component Provides technical input for manufacturing improvements on difficult to machine components Validates the NC code generated from the CNC program by monitoring initial production jobs for long-term efficiency and repeatability Aids in the design of fixtures/work holding for machining parts Collaborates with Engineering, set-up techs, and machinists on new product introduction / continuous improvement activities Troubleshoots and resolves programming and machining problems as they arise Assists Engineering/ Manufacturing / Quoting as needed Qualifications
High school diploma or GED A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Swiss setup machinist A minimum of one year’s experience as a CNC programmer Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident, due to contractual requirements Preferred Qualifications
Ability to read and interpret blueprints Understanding of different manufacturing processes: broaching, thread whirling, turning, milling, drilling, boring, tapping, grooving etc. Understanding of speeds and feeds for different tool types in various materials Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Physical Demands and Work Environment
Standing or sitting for extended periods; continuous mental and visual attention; lifting up to 40 pounds; exposure to manufacturing areas with varying temperatures; use of personal protective equipment as required. Additional Notes
