Base pay range: $135,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr Location: Port Huron, MI (United States) Position: Optometrist (Part-time) Summary: Provide evidence-based vision care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning in accordance with optometry scope of practice and state regulations. Maintain high-quality patient care and customer service while supporting store operations and healthcare collaborations. What you'll do

Provide evidence-based vision care to assess and manage patient eye health, including visual acuity, refraction, ocular health evaluation, and detection of vision defects. Prescribe and fit eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision aids; recommend treatment options and follow-up plans. Coordinate patient care with other health professionals and ophthalmologists; arrange referrals as needed and follow up on diagnostic tests and communications. Perform comprehensive eye examinations using appropriate instruments and medications; document patient information accurately in vision center systems (e.g., BOSS). Educate patients and store associates on eye health, contact lens care, disease state management, and safety factors. Assist vision center staff with best practices and procedures; ensure adherence to state, local, and federal healthcare regulations and Walmart vision center guidelines. Contribute to a positive customer experience by delivering exceptional service and maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of patient information. Assist with administrative and retail tasks as necessary (e.g., financial transactions, patient registration) and collaborate with internal/external stakeholders for integrated care. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Doctoral degree in Optometry (OD) from an accredited optometry school. Licensed optometrist in good standing in the state of practice. Preferred Qualifications:

Healthcare background in optometry or related field; ability to work collaboratively in a retail healthcare environment. About benefits and compensation
