Become part of Connecticut's most comprehensive healthcare network. JOB SUMMARY As an Inpatient Clinical Dietitian, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional clinical nutrition services. Your responsibilities will include performing nutrition assessments, formulating modified diet plans, training patients on self-management, and implementing nutrition interventions. You will ensure high standards of patient satisfaction, quality care, compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintain excellent public relations while using resources efficiently. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Assess the nutritional status of patients and formulate individualized nutrition care plans; monitor the effectiveness of these plans. Conduct nutrition-focused physical exams and address malnutrition with appropriate care plans. Document nutrition assessments and interventions meticulously in the EMR, following established policies. Engage in community outreach, providing nutrition education and developing educational materials for community programs. Educate patients, staff, and community members on nutrition-related topics. Offer guidance and mentorship to clinical dietetic technicians and interns, ensuring proper training and support. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Education: Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition/Dietetics or related field. Experience: None required. Licensure, Certification, Registration: Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (Commission on Dietetic Registration); Must acquire Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist (CT Department of Public Health) within 90 days of hire.
*RD eligible (Must achieve Registered Dietitian credential and request CDN within 90 days of hire).
Language Skills: Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English. Preferred Requirements Education: Master’s Degree in Nutrition or related field.
