Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Intake Coordinator:
Serve as the initial contact for new patient referrals, gathering essential information and verifying insurance details. Collaborate closely with sales and pharmacy teams to ensure seamless patient care and timely processing of referrals. Input patient demographics, clinical data, and insurance information into the system accurately. Communicate insurance coverage and financial responsibilities to patients and referral sources. Maintain a positive and supportive atmosphere, emphasizing compassion and personal interest in patient care.
Required Skills for Intake Coordinator: Preferred background in medical, healthcare, or pharmacy settings. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Ability to handle patient records and interact with referral sources effectively. Reliable transportation and commitment to working onsite. Proficiency in maintaining confidentiality of patient and proprietary information.
