Our client is a critically acclaimed entertainment studio with an expanding portfolio across film, television, and related media. As the company scales, they are seeking a Vice President, Corporate Controller to lead and elevate the accounting function across their content divisions. This high-impact role partners closely with the CFO and executive team to lead accounting operations, consolidations, reporting, and compliance—driving the company’s cash-to-accrual transition, strengthening controls, and building scalable financial infrastructure to support continued growth across its entertainment portfolio. RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team. Oversee and lead the company’s cash-to-accrual conversion, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and providing detailed guidance throughout the process. Implement functional and industry accounting best practices, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with best-in-class standards for the Entertainment/Production industry. Drive initiatives to automate and streamline accounting workflows, enhancing efficiency and reducing manual processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial reporting and accounting processes with organizational goals. Support external audit and tax compliance efforts by preparing schedules, resolving discrepancies, and providing necessary documentation. Own consolidations and oversee coordination with external audit and tax partners, ensuring accurate financials and investor reporting and compliance. Lead post-M&A integration and multi-entity consolidation efforts across the organization. REQUIREMENTS

CPA with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years at the Controller level. Extensive experience in Film, TV, or Gaming industry required. Experience with publishing, ultimates, and production accounting strongly preferred. Expertise in U.S. GAAP, including experience with cash-to-accrual accounting conversions. Proven ability to mentor and develop senior-level accounting professionals. Demonstrated experience managing consolidations, tax coordination, partnership reporting (including K-1 readiness), and post-M&A integrations across multi-entity structures. Strong understanding of ERP systems (experience with Sage Intacct preferred). Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools. Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Executive-level communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of management and cross-functional teams. Ability to work onsite 3 to 4 days per week in West Hollywood.
