We serve more than 68,000 clients per year throughout Middlesex, Somerset, Hunterdon, and Warren counties in NJ. Position: Substance Use Counselor 112 - East Brunswick, NJ. Under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor or Program Director, the Substance Abuse Counselor is responsible to provide substance abuse assessment, education and counseling to clients. The job includes providing assessments, facilitating group, individual and family sessions, case management, treatment planning, recovery support services, and record keeping. This role requires a solid foundation in substance abuse knowledge, ASAM criteria and good communication skills. Work is done under clinical supervision by an LCADC or CCS. Responsibilities
Provide individual, group and family counseling for OP/IOP adolescent program Conduct substance use and mental health assessments, treatment planning and discharge planning Identify and implement community-based prevention education Member of treatment team serving adolescents with substance use and co-occurring disorders Requirements / Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent 2+ years of experience in substance abuse field Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history Professionally Licensed (CADC, LCADC) Compensation and Benefits
