BayCare is currently seeking a
Manager of Rehabilitation for Morton Plant Hospital
to lead our acute rehabilitation team. This role is ideal for a seasoned rehab professional with
acute care experience
and a proven ability to manage a
large, multidisciplinary team
in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Position Details: Location:
Clearwater, FL - Morton Plant Status:
Fulltime - Exempt Schedule:
Monday - Friday; Day Shift (occasional weekends)
The Manager of Rehabilitation will: Oversee daily operations of acute rehab services, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology. Lead and mentor a diverse team of therapists, assistants, and support staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practices in acute rehabilitation care. Collaborate with physicians, nursing, case management, and other departments to optimize patient outcomes and throughput. Monitor performance metrics, patient satisfaction, and staff engagement, implementing improvement strategies as needed. Manage staffing, scheduling, and productivity to meet departmental goals. Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and program development for rehab services.
Qualifications: Licensed Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Florida. Minimum of
5 years of clinical experience in acute care rehab , with at least
2 years in a leadership role . Demonstrated ability to lead large teams with confidence, empathy, and resilience. Strong communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills. Experience with EMR systems and data-driven decision-making. Bachelors degree required; Masters or Doctorate preferred.
