Position Summary Red Ribbon Recovery

COLORADO is seeking a compassionate, experienced

Primary Therapist

to join our multidisciplinary clinical team. The Primary Therapist plays a key role in supporting adults with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders through individualized therapy, group facilitation, and collaborative treatment planning. This position ensures that clients receive high-quality, evidence-based, and trauma-informed care that promotes sustained recovery and wellness.

Key Responsibilities Clinical Assessment & Treatment Planning Conduct comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations. Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Complete discharge and aftercare planning to ensure continuity of care post-treatment. Therapeutic Services Facilitate

individual, group, and family therapy sessions

using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and relapse prevention. Provide crisis intervention, risk assessment, and emergency response during assigned work hours or on-call rotation. Deliver psychoeducational and process-oriented groups supporting recovery, coping skills, and emotional regulation. Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation in

KIPU EMR

or other designated systems. Ensure all records meet

Joint Commission

and

Colorado Behavioral Health Administration (BHA)

standards. Monitor and document clinical progress, treatment plan reviews, and discharge summaries. Collaboration & Care Coordination Coordinate with internal staff, referral partners, and community providers to ensure integrated and continuous care. Participate in interdisciplinary case consultations, staff meetings, and quality improvement activities. Support professional relationships with referral and aftercare providers to promote successful client transitions. Professional Development & Program Contribution Engage in ongoing supervision, training, and continuing education to maintain licensure and clinical excellence. Contribute to program development, staff training, and community outreach initiatives. Stay current with best practices and research in behavioral health, addiction recovery, and trauma-informed care. Schedule Full-time, on-site role. Requires flexibility to work some evening groups. Occasional Saturdays may be required as the agency grows.

Qualifications Minimum Requirements Masters degree in

Social Work, Counseling, Psychology , or a related behavioral health field. Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in substance use and/or mental health treatment settings. Experience facilitating group and individual therapy sessions. Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and harm-reduction models. Preferred Qualifications Active licensure as an

LCSW, LPC, or LMFT

in the State of Colorado (or license-eligible). Experience working within a

Partial Hospitalization (PHP)

or

Intensive Outpatient (IOP)

program. Familiarity with

KIPU EMR

and Joint Commission standards. Core Competencies Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Ability to adapt and remain flexible in a dynamic, client-centered environment. Effective time management and organization skills.

Compensation & Benefits Salary Range:

$75,000

$90,000 (commensurate with experience and licensure) Comprehensive benefits package including

health, dental, and vision insurance .
