Senior Software Engineer - Backend
to build secure, resilient, highly available, and scalable services and systems that power next-gen collaboration and teamwork experiences. The Core Services team provides foundational services for Microsoft Teams, serving billions of calls per day and supporting a fast-growing user base. The role offers end-to-end ownership and exposure to a cutting-edge technology stack including .NET Core, Containers, Caching, Azure Cloud, and Entra authentication. Base pay range
$119,800.00/yr - $258,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Design, development, testing, and DevOps of Teams services ensuring security, availability and performance. Contribute to design documents and participate in code reviews. Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and root cause analysis. Collaborate with diverse team members located across the globe. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years of engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. 3+ years of experience building and operating large-scale cloud services. Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements, including security clearances where applicable. This includes Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field AND 6+ years of engineering experience with coding in the listed languages OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field AND 8+ years of engineering experience with coding in the listed languages Experience with authentication stacks and with M365 components (Entra/AAD, Exchange, Substrate, SharePoint) Drive to improve performance, availability, and supportability of services and systems Drive to increase efficiency through automation Employment details
