Overview
Iota House Director (U of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign) Base pay range may be provided in the job post. This full-time position oversees the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the house and provides onsite support to members of Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity. The primary focus is to foster a safe, secure, and enjoyable environment that supports a positive member experience. Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of the chapter house. Provide onsite support to members and ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming living environment. Present at each facility opening and closing as determined by the immediate supervisor. Independently track and maintain required recordkeeping and reports, or as requested by AOII Properties. Maintain facility and safety compliance; protect the reputation of Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity and its members, volunteers, and staff on campus and in the community. Maintain confidentiality of all AOII information, business, and member practices. Maintain regular contact with local chapter leaders, volunteers, and the direct supervisor (Assistant Director of Properties). Coordinate house maintenance issues and vendor/service visits in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Property Management. Enforce and abide by campus, Fraternity, and chapter policies and rules; ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations. Support and maintain a living-learning environment within the chapter house. Communicate critical information in a clear and professional manner; reconcile debit card transactions in a timely manner; accurately document and report hours worked to comply with wage and hour regulations. Qualifications & Requirements
In-house living at the chapter house. Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively. Physical mobility and dexterity to transport files and operate general office equipment; ability to maneuver stairs daily. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Ability to work in a residential living setting with a flexible schedule including weekends. House Director Must Be Able To Demonstrate
Active listening and problem-solving skills; strong interpersonal skills for engaging with others in various settings. High emotional intelligence; ability to prioritize duties and work under time constraints. Strong written and verbal communication; ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work independently or as part of a team; proper social etiquette. Working Conditions
In-house living at the chapter house with private living quarters; meals provided during the academic year if on-site food service exists. Present at the facility 7 days per week and overnight 7 nights per week (substitute House Director may be used with prior approval). Smoke, drug, alcohol, open-flame, animal, and firearm-free environment. Salary Range
$30,000 - $45,000; Salary Non-Exempt FLSA status. Other
