Overview
Branch Manager
is responsible for managing and overseeing all areas of branch operation. They will foster a positive environment and be committed to the success of the branch and its employees. It is the Branch Manager’s responsibility to ensure the Branch follows operating policy and procedures while maintaining a high level of customer service and sales activities in the branch team to grow deposit base, increase market share and profitability. Coach and lead the branch team to success in meeting goals and objectives. Responsibilities
Ensure assigned branch is properly staffed and staff is trained to meet customer sales and service needs as well as branch objectives Lead in the selection of new personnel Review employee performance throughout the probationary period and on a regularly scheduled basis thereafter Manage and maximize performance levels of staff members through schedules, distribution of assignments and regular feedback Work with management to establish growth, sales and profit objectives Implement strategies to achieve goals assigned to the branch Consult with Market President to establish specific sales and customer service goals; and provide results reports Conduct regularly scheduled branch meetings Serve as an active member of the customer service team and be held accountable for branch performance Conduct customer service calls on current and prospective customers within the branch office market area Establish and confirm all branch operations are performed in accordance with established bank policy and procedures, either directly or through appropriate supervision (i.e. cash balancing, monthly audits, dual control, etc.) Coordinate proper security, facility, and risk measures to minimize loss, and to ensure presentation of the branch Demonstrate cooperative efforts in working with other departments and within own branch while encouraging similar behavior from staff Actively participate in the community as a reflection of the bank’s goal for strong community involvement Integrate activities through communication with Market President, Branch Administration, other management, etc. Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all job-specific training requirements in a timely fashion As an integral member of the Branch, this position is responsible to provide assistance wherever necessary to help the Branch and the Bank in achieving their excellent customer service and established goals. High school diploma or equivalent Excellent interpersonal relation and communication skills Evidence of positive and effective leadership qualities Thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of bank products and services Working knowledge of Bank operating policies and procedures Must be able to consistently demonstrate the Bank’s core values: a strong work ethic, integrity, respect for others, responsibility, and transparency Minimum five (5) years of banking experience is normally required Minimum one (1) year of supervisory experience required Documentation skills with attention to detail Must possess the ability to interact positively with all levels of the organization, including Management, the Board, Coworkers, and the Public Excellent oral, written, telephone, organizational and interpersonal communication skills required Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word and Excel Must be proficient using e-mail and the internet All First Bank Employees Are Required To
